Testimonial

In Sharon’s hands, the journey (investigatory and geographical) to find her family roots became the audience’s journey, too.  Her presentation described her discoveries in such loving and interesting detail that by the end we were as caught up with the story as she was.  Her presentation drew us all in.  We felt this was our family, too, and that we’d known Sharon for years.  It was instant friendship all around.

Shaar Shalom will happily welcome Sharon back for any other presentation she chooses to give!

Family Roots: From Past to Present

Everyone is welcome!

Free event for members and to be determined for non-members

After Sharon Easton published her book, she knew she needed more. This pushed her to dive deeper into her family’s world before immigrating to Canada. She needed to go back to their European Roots — a place where her family never returned.

Sharon’s remarkable slideshow and storytelling presentation reveal her family’s heritage as she toured Lithuania, Poland, and Germany. Her presentation discloses an emotional journey as she ventures back in time to the pre-World War II years, the Nazi invasion, the Holocaust, the Soviet Union in power, and the present day, 2023.
